Snake in the Grass
Current Adoptable Snakes
For more information, see our policies on adoption.
We currently have three snakes available for adoption.
Alex
Species: Honduran Boa Constrictor
Sex: Male
Born: ~2003
Colour: Normal
Size: 4 feet
Alex came from Reptile Rescue. Alex was mistreated by his original owners. He was underfed (so he's much too thin and short for his age), fed live mice (so he has permanent scars), and kept in a tank that was too cold and too dry (so he has the remnants of bad sheds). We were able to restore Alex to health, and he became a very gentle snake.
We were able to adopt Alex out to a great home, but the new owner found that he became agressive when living with dogs, and was forced to return him.
Oddsba
Species: Ball Python
Sex: Unknown
Born: ~2003
Colour: Normal
Size: ~2 feet
Oddsba was taken in from a young owner who had another, more agressive snake, and who decided to give us both snakes. Oddsba has some sort of bumps along his/her spine, and we are currently working with our vet to figure out what they are.
George
Species: Coastal Carpet Python
Sex: Male
Born: 2001
Colour: Normal
Size: 6.5 feet
George (originally named “Venom”), came to us from the Lower Mainland. George was almost never handled, and has some scarring from being fed live rodents. In addition, George was kept much too cold, and in a small container. George is much more friendly than he used to be, but he is still somewhat nervous around people. Because George may grow to be as much as 10 feet in length, he will need an experienced owner.
There are also several adoptable reptiles from Reptile Rescue.
